Elevating Independent Retail in the Heart of Leeds

Our Mission: To act as a premium, high-street incubator for the region's elite independent traders, crafters, artisans, and makers. Think of us as a "micro John Lewis" for independent brands.

Built by Traders, for Traders

At Eventszo, we have spent over three years organising specialised food and artisan craft events across the region, but our roots go much deeper. We started as craft fair traders ourselves. We know firsthand the sheer amount of time, energy, and passion it takes to run a successful craft business. We have experienced the exhilarating highs, but we also know the crushing lows. We have been caught in the pouring rain, had events cancelled at the last minute due to storms, and spent long weekends at beautiful locations where the promised footfall simply never materialised.

Too often, we have watched incredibly talented makers with high-quality products lose their passion or struggle to scale their businesses due to these unpredictable hurdles. We knew there had to be a better way to create mutual success for traders, crafters, and customers alike. That realisation sparked a new vision, and we decided to launch The Mini Mall.

The Concept: Space-as-a-Service

The modern commercial retail landscape is shifting. Today's consumers want to discover unique, independent items, but they expect to find them within highly curated, premium, and frictionless environments. To deliver this, The Mini Mall utilises a highly efficient Space-as-a-Service model:

  • You lease the space: Secure premium, curated physical real estate for your brand without the massive overheads of a traditional shop.
  • We make the sales: Our professional, in-house retail team actively manages the floor and sells your products for you.
  • You reclaim your time: Step away from the market stall to focus on what you do best: creating, scaling, and growing your business.

The Power of a Leeds City Centre Location

Positioning your brand in the city centre of Leeds offers unparalleled benefits that traditional craft fairs simply cannot match. By bringing a fully managed, flagship high-street presence to the heart of the city, we are offering our partners:

  • Maximum Footfall & Exposure: Benefit from the massive daily foot traffic of Leeds city centre shoppers, tourists, and professionals.
  • Brand Prestige: Elevate your brand's perception by retailing in a premium, permanent high-street setting.
  • Collective Strength: By housing a curated selection of elite artisans under one roof, we become a destination. Collectively, we drive more traffic, create cross-promotional opportunities, and build a thriving retail community.

The Vision

The Mini Mall is open now in the Merrion Centre, with retail, art, workshop and event spaces available. This is just the beginning. With your support and collective success, our goal is to secure a long-term position in the city centre, cementing this space as a permanent incubator for independent businesses to achieve optimal, year-round exposure and an excellent return on investment.

The Eventszo Promise

At Eventszo, partnership is at the core of everything we do. When you join The Mini Mall, you aren't just renting a shelf; you are partnering with a team dedicated to your success. We take a proactive approach to marketing, invest heavily in advertising, and manage our space with transparency and care. While no one can guarantee footfall, we meticulously control the environment. We promise to create the best possible setting for exposure, engagement, and sales opportunities, always acting in the best interests of our traders and the wider community.

Are you ready to take your brand to the high street? Join us at The Mini Mall and let's build the future of independent retail together.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can't find your answer? Reach out directly — we respond within 24 hours.

How does bay allocation work?+

Bays are allocated by store management. You'll receive a confirmation email with your specific bay number before your load-in session.

What are the fees and commission?+

Choose a bay at £180 per calendar month plus 10% commission, or £20 monthly administration fee plus 30% commission. Display five art pieces for £20 monthly or £49 for three months, with 30% commission on both options.

Can I restock during my tenancy?+

Yes. You can replenish stock if you are running low. Additional stock can be left safely in the dedicated back-of-house stock room. All restock items must be 100% pre-labelled and cannot be left on the shop floor during trading hours (09:00–17:30).

What insurance do I need?+

Traders are strictly responsible for arranging their own comprehensive insurance for their stock and displays against all risks (including fire, theft, and accidental damage) while in the Mini Mall. You must also maintain your own Public and Product Liability insurance.

Is mains power included in the bay?+

No, standard retail bays and fashion rails do not include mains power. If your products require power for display purposes, please contact us directly before booking to discuss your requirements.

Cancellation & Space Refund Policy+

A full refund can be requested up to 14 days before your tenancy start date. Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days prior to the start date will incur a 15% administrative fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are strictly non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at the absolute discretion of management.

Returns & Faulty Goods Policy (Customer Sales)+

We operate a strict 'No Change of Mind' return policy on behalf of our vendors. Refunds to customers will only be legally issued for goods that are genuinely faulty. The cost of any refunded faulty items will be automatically deducted from the respective vendor's next payout.

What is the 48-hour booking cutoff?+

All bookings are subject to a 48-hour curation review period by store management to ensure brand alignment and avoid oversaturation of specific product categories. If we cannot accommodate your booking during this window, a full refund will be issued immediately.

How do payments work?+

Pay online by arrangement or at our in-store terminal. Retail sales commission depends on your plan. Class ticket revenue is split 70% to the organiser and 30% to The Mini Mall, with manual settlement after the event.

Do you accept hot food vendors?+

Due to the premium retail nature of our space, we do not have the extraction or service facilities required for hot food preparation. However, we enthusiastically welcome pre-packaged ambient foods and freshly baked goods! Please note that if you are selling fresh baked goods, you are required to manage daily replenishments to maintain our strict quality and freshness standards.

Can I sell edible products or pre-packaged food?+

Yes, absolutely. However, all food products must arrive fully pre-packaged and adhere strictly to UK food labelling regulations (including Natasha's Law). Ingredients, allergens, and clear expiry dates must be professionally printed on every item. Please note that food vendors must also hold a valid Food Hygiene Rating (minimum Level 4) to trade with us.

Do you accept bespoke concession stands?+

Yes, we do offer limited floor space for custom concession builds or larger brand activations. Because these spaces require bespoke floor planning and are strictly limited, they cannot be booked via the standard automated system. Please contact our curation team directly at info@eventszo.com to discuss availability, footprint, and pricing.
